WHAT IS RAZ-PLUS?
It is an online platform that is designed to provide reading resources on an individual level. This program will be implemented with students from kindergarten through fifth grade. It contains thousands of digital resources including leveled books, skills practice, ELL activities, interactive assessments and easy-to-use lesson plans. Almost all of the available resources are also provided in Spanish as well.
This platform allows teachers to monitor and evaluate the reading progress of each individual student. We are then able to apply their data and information to help them set goals in their reading practice.
HOW TO ENTER THE RAZ-PLUS PLATFORM?
Students can access books in digital version wherever they have an internet connection and from devices such as cell phones, tablets, or computer.
The link you can use to enter the platform is as follows:
Log in by first looking for the teacher’s username. Then, each student must find their username and enter their personal password. All log-in information and directions will be sent by their teacher.
CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE RAZ-PLUS PLATFORM IN LIBRARY AND CLASSROOMS.
- Students work on the Raz-Plus platform in a specific manner with their teachers in the classroom.
- If the student wishes to read more books than the programs by the teachers during the classes, he can do it before the first hour of class and if he wishes during the recess hours of classes in the computer room of the Library.
- Reading at home is not only permitted but greatly encouraged! Students should feel free to read for books, at their level, in either English or Spanish.
If teachers use the Library’s computer room for platform-related activities, they can also book the room with the Librarian personally or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
